Atlas Elektronik – development planning for production facilities

Status: Outline Planning Permission was granted for the Development Master Plan in 2015, Phase 1 to commence on site March 2017.

Atlas Elektronik UK is a leading provider of science and technology solutions in the marine defence industry and currently employ 350 people at their UK head office on the Dorset Green Technology Park.

In 2015 AEUK acquired additional land around their head office to allow for future expansion. ARID developed a strategic development master plan, outline planning approval was granted for a series of new buildings (B1 & B2 Use Class) and extensions totalling 7850m2 over the 6 hectares site. The approval included a new main access road and security fencing of the complete site.

The approved strategic development master plan ensures that the phased implementation would be carried out in a structured manor maximise site efficiency.

Phase 1 of the development, a 2238m2 production and test facility gained full planning permission in December 2016, commencement on site is scheduled for March 2017 with completion by the end of 2017.
