Rew Barns – Renovation of existing farmstead into large detached dwelling and semi-detached holiday homes

The client owned land with several derelict barns, with the intention to convert these into a mixture of residential for themselves, as well as holiday units to let. We were brought in to do the design and obtain Planning Permission. Once successful ARID were also tasked to do the detailed design and submit to Building Control. The client was a self-build client, who not only managed the works on site, but worked physically on the project throughout. A key feature to the project were the aluminium windows and doors which were designed and supplied by Topline Windows, and company local to the Isle of Wight.
