The Old Rectory – Restoration and extension of Grade II Listed property
The Old Rectory – restoration and extension of grade II listed property
Services: Design and Project Management
A 17th Century Grade II listed building that required refurbishment internally, in particular to areas damaged by wet rot and woodworm, and to reconfigure the layout on the first floor to provide a more substantial master bedroom. All services within the property were also stripped and upgraded.
The client also wanted to extend the kitchen area to provide a larger kitchen to compliment the size of the property, as well as convert the existing attached garage and plant room into a sitting room and utility room.
Our role was initially to obtain Planning Permission and Building Regulations for the works, which required close communication with conservation to ensure they agreed with our approach. Once approved, we worked closely with the client and managed our subcontractors on site for the duration of construction works.
