Beatrice Avenue – new build house and detached holiday home

Our client purchased the site that benefitted from a planning for a new dwelling.

Our client felt that design was dated and did not embrace the sea views adequately, ARID were asked to redesign the house to make the most of the sea views whist deliveing spacious living space.

The new design created living/family/dining/kitchen areas that featured large sliding doors, these helped the client achieve a spacious layout, but at the same time offers flexibility to produce more intimate spaces.

The primary bedrooms benefit from tremendous sea views at first floor level through large areas of glazing.

External materials including boarding and large areas of glass were used to give the property a contemporary external appearance that enhanced the ‘wow’ factor of the project.

In the ARID worked closely with the self-build client and our regular subcontractors to effectively manage the project.

Planning permission was also achieved to allow the conversion of the substantial garage into a three-bedroom holiday home.
